Our Story
In Medary Township of Brookings County, South Dakota, the family of JR Farms has been raising crops and livestock for five generations. This family farm takes great care in the land and cattle herd. Sustainable, tender, high quality meat is the end goal for JR Farms.
Our Beef
Our cattle herd spends the summers on green native eastern South Dakota pastures. Our feeder calves are fed a diet of home-raised corn and hay.
JR Farms offers a limited supply of premium beef we call Wayngus. (Wagyu / Angus). The introduction of Wagyu breeding allows consumers an option for finer marbled beef than our traditional Angus crossbreds.
